Ground Figures respects your privacy. This page explains what information is collected when you use this site, and how it's used.
What we don't collect
Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter — home price, income, credit score range, and so on — are never sent to our servers or stored anywhere. The one exception is the optional address lookup in our property analyzer, described below; the calculations themselves still run in your browser even there. You can use every tool on this site without creating an account or providing any personal information.
What we do collect
Aggregate usage data
We use standard web analytics to understand which pages and calculators are useful, such as page views and general visitor location. This data is aggregated and not used to identify individual visitors.
Google AdSense
This site displays advertising served by Google. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
Only if you submit it
If you use our contact form, the name, email, and message you provide are submitted through our form-handling provider so we can respond to you. This information is not used for any other purpose.
Only if you subscribe
If you sign up for our email newsletter, your email address is submitted to and stored by our email provider, Kit, so we can send you the newsletter. We don't sell or share the list, and every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
Property analyzer only
If you use the address lookup in our property analyzer, the address you enter is sent to our server and on to a third-party property data provider to retrieve public records and a rent estimate. Addresses are cached to reduce repeat lookups. No other calculator sends anything anywhere.
Referral tracking only
Some links to partner services include a referral identifier so the partner can attribute the visit to Ground Figures. This doesn't give us access to your activity on the partner's site.
Google's use of advertising cookies
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, and to opt out of certain data uses. Since we collect minimal personal information — primarily what you voluntarily submit through our contact form — there is very little to request. To exercise any privacy right or ask a question about this policy, contact us.
Children's privacy
Ground Figures is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date below.
